Let me tell you more about me...

Logo

Welcome! So I thought I would write a quick blog entry introducing you to Me Time Therapy.

My private practice actually started back in 2014 under the name 'Kim Mole Counselling in Bucks'. I did some minor advertising for my practice, but relied mainly on gaining clients through websites such as Counselling Directory and RSCPP (both of which are very good websites to search for local counsellors). I never really did any other advertising as I always knew that I wanted to change the name - so it seemed pointless to get business cards designed etc. Over the next few years, I considered a number of other names, and eventually I settled on the name "Me Time Therapy".

I developed a logo, website and produced business cards in a matter of weeks - as the name finally felt right!

The counselling I provide is described as integrative. I use a core approach of Person-Centred Counselling, but also use tools and techniques from other approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness and Transactional Analysis. I am also a qualified Auricular Acupuncturist and provide this alongside counselling if it is felt beneficial. I do not believe in a "one size fits all approach" to counselling - instead I feel it is more beneficial to tailor sessions to the individual client. I work with a variety of ages - from children up to mature adults and I also work with couples as well as individuals. I have experience working with a variety of issues, including mental health, anger, bereavement and loss, addiction, relationship difficulties, self-esteem and trauma.

I am passionate about my work and have experienced first hand the benefits of counselling. To have the confidential space to explore any issues in our life and develop tools to move forward is priceless.

We all need some "Me Time" on occasion - time to focus on ourselves for a while!
